SEND & inclusion
At Willow Tree Primary School, we are proud to uphold an inclusive ethos where every child is valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive. We are committed to making appropriate adjustments to meet individual needs, ensuring that all children can access a stimulating, and nurturing environment where they can progress, achieve their best, and grow into confident, independent learners.
Our curriculum planning and assessment processes are carefully designed to reflect the diverse needs of our pupils. Lessons are thoughtfully planned to provide suitable challenges for all learners, and we foster a culture where every achievement is celebrated. We actively promote mutual respect, helping children to value themselves and one another.
Our school’s Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) is Mrs Karen Daggett. She works closely with staff, families, and external professionals to ensure that children with SEND receive the tailored support they need.
"Pupils with SEND access all areas of school life, including trips and extra-curricular activities. Staff effectively make adaptations to their lessons to ensure that pupils with SEND can access the learning. Pupils with SEND achieve well at this school." (Ofsted 2024)
